I really pity Brad Pitt and the other celebrities who are hounded by photographers. I saw one shot of Pitt surrounded by 17 paparazzi photographers. How much do they get per shot, and how much for an exclusive photo? It must be a ridiculous amount.
Yes, it's profitable. The better the quality and uniqeness of the shot, the higher the price they get. Anywhere from $40,000 to $250,000.

Heath ledger, the man who’s playing the Joker in the new Batman movie was found dead today, surrounded – apparently – by sleeping pills, why do YOU need to know that? only his friends and family NEED to know detail beyond “he died”.
Yes it sucks that Heath Ledger is dead, yes I’m disappointed I won’t get to see Heath Ledger in any more movies, he was a pretty good actor, and yes I feel sorry for Heath Ledger’s family, who will no doubt miss him terribly.
But in the big scheme of things, I DO NOT CARE about Heath Ledger’s private life, INCLUDING how he died, why, and what drove him to apparently commit suicide.

In the news: Volkswagen of America. Inc. has recently announced that it will take its âVolkswagen Important Peopleâ or VWIP initiative a step further by providing two days of total âVWIP Experienceâ which is scheduled on February 16, 2007, Friday through Sunday, February 18, 2007.
The VWIP Experience creates a destination where Las Vegas guests can get a firsthand look into celebrity life while they cruise the Strip and visit the Fashion Show mall. Aside from that, Volkswagen will also make sure that guests are treated as star regardless of race. The VWIP Experience provides the automaker with a venue for communicating a direct message of respect, appreciation and value to the African-American and urban community.
According to Kenyatta Bynoe, Brand Marketing Manager at Volkswagen, âWhether itâs having their picture taken by personal paparazzi, being pampered at the VWIP Experience Lounge, taking a million dollar joy ride or winning prizes, the goal is to create an environment where people find themselves completely engulfed in the VWIP Experience.â
The million dollar joy ride is an important part of the VWIP Experience, it gives participants the chance to test drive a Touareg, one of Volkswagenâs luxury SUV. The test drive will be conducted on a dual course track located in the south parking deck of the Fashion Show mall. The uniquely designed driving course is designed to showcase the Touaregâs on and off-road capabilities plus its high quality car components like the popular Volkswagen fuel pump.
After the test drive, participants can try their luck on a customized slot machine with prizes ranging from party tickets to iPod shuffles. Plus thereâs one very lucky participant that could win a grand prize of one million dollar. The other prizes that could be won include: an all-expense paid trip to 2008 All-Star weekend in New Orleans (consisting of two first class airline tickets, hotel accommodation, airport transfers, cash and tickets to spend on the game), customized VW First Act guitars, Apple TVs, Verizon chocolate V-Cast phones, VIP gift cards (like Louis Vuitton, Still) and other big ticket items.
All participants in the drive will also receive an all-access pass to the VWIP Experience Lounge which is a 1000 square foot custom designed day spa located within the Fashion Show mall. Test driving the award winning Touareg let particpants to experience a world that embodies capability and luxury. The main message that Volkswagen would like to convey with its âVWIP Experienceâ event is that everyone should be given the opportunity to be treated like a VIP and get to enjoy the VIP lifestyle.
The VIP lifestyle is not complete without the paparazzi and so to complete the whole VWIP Experience a paparazzi service provided by Picture Marketing Inc. was employed. The paparazzi are to take candid photos of pedestrians thus treating them like the celebrities which precisely what the automaker wants.
All the photos are posted on the web and can be viewed by participants using a VWIP access card bearing a web address. The photos on the site can be both printed and shared with family and friends.

They will of course admit to knowing one another but of course the relationship is always strictly platonic, and they are of course just friends. We Are Not Engaged
Unfortunately, A list celebrities can do very little without being stalked by the paparazzi. All trips to the jewelry store are suspect, and is generally met with excitement and transplanted upon the pages of gossip shows and magazines. I have something of a sixth sense about impending celebrity break ups. The signs are always there, but of course denial is always the name of the game.

There may be instances of one part of the dynamic duo is seen behaving inappropriately with someone else by cameras or rumors of a budding romance on the set of a movie start making the rounds. Of course, the entertainment industry is business after all. The announcement of a breakup will occur but it must be times perfectly. The old adage is that all publicity is good publicity. What could be more compelling than a starlet who has had her heart broken? Especially if it happens to occur around the same time that her new romantic comedy is opening up and she finds the man of her dreams.
